Mark Mitroka, COO
Mr. Mitroka is a highly experienced Senior Executive with significant experience in both US and international based transactions and businesses. His key areas of expertise include: oil and gas; oil services; real estate; hospitality; gaming; agriculture; green energy and long-term healthcare related businesses. His International business experience includes: Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Iraq, Kuwait, Mexico, Nigeria, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates. For the past 11 years, he has acted as an entrepreneur and a senior financial advisor to high net worth individuals, privately held companies and sovereign governments. Approximately 50% of his efforts have been directed toward oil and gas ventures and companies with a focus on concession acquisitions, exploration, production and drilling services; 40% on real estate based transactions and operating businesses with large real estate components; and, 10% on other industries. During his career, Mr. Mitroka has served in various executive and management capacities focusing on all aspects of corporate and business development, including: (i) human resource management; (ii) business development; (iii) planning and budgeting; (iv) accounting and audit support; (v) merger and acquisition due diligence and closing; (vi) contract negotiation; (vii) debt and leasehold financing; (viii) equity placement; (ix) asset management; and, (x) participation on and with supervisory boards and boards of directors. Mr. Mitroka served as an officer and member of the Senior Management Committee for Covenant Care, Inc. where he was responsible for business development, financing and portfolio management. During his tenure at the company, revenues increased from $80 million to in excess of $350 million annually in large part through the acquisition and construction of 22 skilled nursing facilities and the development of three pharmacy operations. In addition, he served as Chairman of the Board for Casa Reha Betriebs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, a German long term health care company (initially funded by Covenant Care, Inc.). While he was responsible for oversight of Casa Reha, the company’s revenue increased from no revenue to approximately $50 million through the acquisition and development of approximately 15 skilled nursing facilities located throughout west and former East Germany. Prior to his departure as Chairman, Mr. Mitroka was responsible for a recapitalization of the company which established Casa Reha as an independent German health care company with ECM Equity Capital Management GmbH and JP Morgan Chase as the principal shareholders. The company has been acquired twice by large European investment funds in the last 8 years. Mr. Mitroka has significant experience in analyzing, valuing and acquiring all types of commercial businesses including but not limited to: hotels and resorts; self storage facilities; nursing homes; manufactured housing communities; single and multi-family residential; office; retail; marinas; casinos; golf courses; raw land; and, other special purpose real estate uses. He has worked in various capacities with numerous real estate related businesses with a combined value of in excess of $2.5 billion. In addition, Mr. Mitroka has experience in the management and operations of corporate enterprises with business activities including: hospitality; health care; insurance and financial services; commodity trading; agribusiness; transportation; and, energy related companies.
